The Lee County Sheriff Office, at the direction of Sheriff Carmine Marceno, held a one-day event at the Jet Blue Park on July 17th, 2022. A total amount of $ 167,107.07 was expended for this one-day event. This does not include personnel costs of 58 Officers and other staff assigned to the event. 

All items given away to those in attendance included T-Shirts, bracelets, pencils, backpacks, pencils and other types gifts that all included the name of Marceno on them. 

It begs the question(s) "Did this event have a public purpose or a self-serving political purpose. These funds came from taxes paid for by those that live in Lee County.
